I had quite a few recommendations to read this book. It was even featured in one of my favorite book clubs: Reese’s Book Club. After reading the synopsis, I wasn’t thrilled but I decided to give it a go anyways. BIG MISTAKE! It is one of the worst books I have read in recent memory. It is a very cheesy, cringeworthy book. There is absolutely no character development. There were several times when I couldn’t help but laugh, not because it was funny, but because the situations were so far fetched and the conversations the characters had were giving me secondhand embarrassment. The Proposal has a 3.5 rating on GoodReads.
