The Godfather by Mario Puzo

Before reading this book, I had never even watched the movie. I have always heard about the movie and seen references to it throughout my life. I don’t know what even made me decide to get this book. For me it was a slow start but once I read into it more, I was hooked. It is not for everyone. It is filled with violence, sex, death etc. But it is SO good! It is one of those books where the characters just draw you in and don’t let go. You are a hostage to their stories but you don’t want to turn away from them. The Godfather has a 4.4 rating on GoodReads.
