I don’t know about you but I look forward to the first Monday of every May because of The Met Gala!! I love looking at all of the amazing outfits that everyone wears.
First things first… What is The Met Gala?
“The Met Gala, formally called the Costume Institute Gala and also known as the Met Ball, is an annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City. It marks the opening of the Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibit.”
It is invite only and very exclusive. Even when invited tickets are still $30,000 a piece or $275,000 for a table. It is considered fashion’s biggest night of the year. Every year there is a theme that attendees are encouraged to adhere to with their attire(this year’s theme is Camp). I love when people follow the theme and really get into it! It is the one night of the year when you can dress absolutely crazy/outrageous and nobody bats an eyelash! Go big or go home! You can wear a safe, boring, glamorous dress to the Oscars or any other awards show. Don’t be boring/safe with your fashion at The Met Gala!!!!
